The anticipation reached its peak as the doors of the Metropolitan Museum of Art swung open for the most awaited fashion event of the year: the Met Gala 2024. With the theme "Garden of Time" casting its enchanting spell, celebrities stepped onto the red carpet, each clad in breathtaking ensembles that transported onlookers to a realm where fashion and art intertwined. Let's look into our favorite looks of the night.
The first and foremost is obviously Zendaya. She didn't disappoint as she graced the event with not one, but two mesmerizing looks, both meticulously crafted by the visionary designer John Galliano. She looked stunning in both the pieces, but our favorite look is the first one. With a gothic-inspired makeup look that echoed the enigmatic beauty of a garden shrouded in darkness, she embraced the essence of the "Garden of Time" with unparalleled sophistication.
The second-best look is from the mother of music. Lana Del Ray! The skin-toned dress adorned with delicate branches peeking out, reminiscent of foliage in a mystical garden, undoubtedly captured the essence of the theme with grace and poise. The outfit was designed by Alexander McQueen. This outfit is totally going with this year’s Met Gala theme, and we are so in for it. Mother was mothering here!
Next best look might be Gigi Hadid’s floral scattered gown. This look is everything a Met Gala look is supposed to be. The outfit is designed by Thom Browne. She looked ravishing in this outfit with a touch of bold red lipstick. This look totally aligned with the theme.
Another best look of the night is from the “Queen of Rapper” and its none other than Nicki Minaj. She followed the Gala's theme by wearing a yellow dress that screamed “Garden of Time”. She looked absolutely stunning with the small golden handbag. The designer of this stunning outfit is Francesco Risso.
Next up we have is the Heartstopper of almost every girl (for us at least). Jonathan Bailey is one of the few men in Met Gala who dressed according to the theme (hopefully he didn’t turn up in a normal suit). He looked handsome as always. He wore a white suit attached with a big white flower in the middle and on his pants. The outfit was designed by Loewe. (The ton did turn their heads around for him as usual).
Next celeb for Met Gala is something who could swoon you (more like Sween-ey you). Yes, you guessed it right! Sydney Sweeney wore a blue flower ball gown, where she looked absolutely like a princess. She had paired this dress with exquisite jewelry and black hand gloves. This outfit was designed by Miu Miu.
Another theme follower for this year’s Met Gala is Karlie Kloss. She wore a straight fit pink sequin dress, and might we say, she looked absolutely gorgeous and stop eating hot! This is a simple piece yet gives such elegant vibes to the whole look. This is one of the most underrated looks of Met Gala, which is designed by Swarovski.
Next up we have our power couple that walked together on Met Gala red carpet. Its none other then Dove Cameron and Damiano David. Cameron wore a floral dress while David wore black pants and black blazer showcasing his tattoo. This duo certainly did look hot together (hopefully the Met Gala curse doesn’t touch them). Both of their outfits were designed by Glenn Martens’.
Next up for Met Gala we have fashion designer Harris Reed, who designed his own outfit. He went for a haute couture with a patterned silk pantsuit with 3D thorns. He walked on Met Gala red carpet with his dramatics and graceful energy. The outfit did align with the theme and looked extraordinary in nature.
Next outfit is most loved by people. Tyla’s dress was tailored to perfection by designer Olivier Rousteing. The skin toned dress indicated to “sand of time” paired with her perfect hourglass handbag. She radiated in this look. She had also simmered sand on her hand and her shoulder, giving a perfect look to the theme.
This is the prettiest outfit ever in Met Gala 2024. Eiza González looked like a fairy in this pink dress. She had paired this outfit with necklace and a ring. She looked so pretty, and this is yet another underrated look for this year’s Met Gala, designed by Cartier.
Last but not the least we have our very own Alia Bhatt, who looked so gorgeous and gave absolute Indian princess vibes at the Met Gala. She wore a mint green floral saree, which is designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee and a headgear with minimal jewelry. She has proved time and again that she can slay any look, anywhere.
